GSAP was founded by Hannah Davis in 2006 as the Ghana Literacy Project. Four years later we became an NGO named the Ghana Sustainable Aid Project (GSAP), and expanded our mission.
In 2013, GSAP became an international NGO with its work reaching across Sub-Saharan Africa and later Central and South America, the Middle East and beyond. In 2014, GSAP, now the Global Sustainable Aid Project, became a nonprofit headquartered in RI, USA, with centers in Ghana and Kenya. Many non-sanitation projects in Ghana are still run under by GSAP-Ghana. Please see below for details about our Ghana projects.
